Unlike large-scale shipping services, our puppies are never transported in cargo or sent through commercial freight systems. Each trip is carefully planned to ensure your puppy travels safely and arrives calm, comfortable, and ready to begin settling into their new home.

Some Dallas families also enjoy making the trip to pick up their puppy in person. Visiting us allows you to meet your puppy face-to-face, spend a little time together before heading home, and see how our puppies are raised.
Many families even turn the trip into a short getaway before driving back to Texas with their new four-legged family member.

At JLDD, we use a thoughtful puppy matchmaking process to help ensure every family is paired with a puppy that truly fits their lifestyle, household, and expectations. We determine the best match using the information from your application, your initial phone consultation, and the follow-up conversations we have with you after the litter is born. Taking the time to understand each family allows us to recommend a puppy whose temperament and personality will thrive in your home.

Deposits are non-refundable, but they can always be moved to a future litter if the current litter doesn’t align with what you’re looking for. We also recognize that life can bring unexpected changes. If timing becomes an issue due to personal circumstances or scheduling conflicts, we’re happy to temporarily pause your deposit while keeping your original place in line.

We do not assign or reserve individual puppies prior to matchmaking day. While we start observing and tracking each puppy’s development as early as three days old, their true temperament and personality traits typically don’t become clear until around six weeks. Waiting until we can see those characteristics develop helps us make much more accurate and successful matches between puppies and families.

Families who choose our 12-Week Fully Trained Designer Doodles Program are placed on a priority sub-list within our matchmaking system. This allows them to be considered for upcoming litters sooner than those holding a standard deposit. For families who are ready to invest in early training, this option can help move the timeline forward a bit. Even so, the matching process itself remains the same — puppies are carefully paired with their families at about seven weeks of age.

The remaining balance for your puppy is due on their seven-week birthday, after all matchmaking calls have been completed and invoices have been issued. Payments can be made by cash, check, or direct bank transfer.

If you’d prefer for your puppy to stay with us a little longer to begin crate training and/or potty training, we offer several training program options designed to give your puppy a strong head start.
