Puppy Training Program Details & a New Member of our Doodle Team

Updated: Oct 19, 2021

At Jenna’s Designer Doodles, we want to make sure that the newest member of your family is ready to integrate into your home as quickly and as flawlessly as possible. The best way to do so is with one of our puppy training programs.

With our Level 1, four-week program, our main focus is to eliminate the worst of your puppy's potty and crate training.

Then, there’s our Level 2, eight-week program. This gives more time for your pup to socialize with their brothers and sisters and, of course, mommy. This helps them to understand and behave in the wonderful world around them. (Learn more about how to housetrain a puppy.)

Our Level 3 program—lasting a total of 12 twelve weeks—allows our newest puppies everything above; but also, they get to live with a family here in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina ‘til they get to meet your smiling face, of course!

We then have use our highly lauded matchmaking techniques to do their magic.

Speaking of Talking about magical... we’d like to welcome the newest member of our fantastic Designer Doodle family, Emily Thornhill! What makes Emily a cut above the rest? That’s simple. A number of different things.

Emily has gone through the American Kennel Club S.T.A.R. Puppy Program. What does that acronym stand for?

  • S – Socialization.

  • T – Training.

  • A – Activity.

  • R – Responsibility.

Not unlike the many cornerstones of our training program, the S.T.A.R. Puppy Program makes sure that all bases are covered before each member of our family moves in with their new one.

Speaking of the American Kennel Club, the next natural transition for her was to become an AKC good citizen evaluator. Their training – not unlike ours – is rigorous. While she has experience working with a plethora of different breeds of varying sizes, Emily has decided that Jenna’s Designer Doodles is the place she wants to call home.

She’s also willing to share her knowledge as a recipient of a certificate from the Canine Training & Behavior program. A designated CACTP, Emily promotes the values of great basic training by outlining a clear list of training goals. This allows our youngest and brightest to adapt to a variety of settings with spectacular long-term results.

On top of all these wonderful certifications, she is a graduate of the Fear Free Certification Program as well as continuing education for canine fear and aggression.

We here at Jenna’s Designer Doodles are doing weekly group and individual sessions to ensure puppies are trained to our clients' needs. These are all are overseen by Emily.

Short story long, Emily is a perfect addition to our Doodle Nation and we couldn’t be happier to have her join. Now, the only left to decide is, which member of our puppy pack will be the best matched addition to your family?
